The most anticipated Tesla Cybertruck of 2024

Featuring a robust structure, a formidable appearance, a powerful battery, and immense towing capacity, Tesla’s highly anticipated new electric truck is on the horizon. Let’s delve into the details of this extraordinary vehicle. The long-awaited electric truck model, Cybertruck, from Tesla, was initially unveiled in 2019. With a length of 5,885 mm, width of 2,027 mm, and height reaching 1,905 mm, production was initially slated for late 2021 but faced multiple delays due to material availability. However, the company has now confirmed its plans to commence production this year, with significant production expected in 2024.

The Cybertruck is poised to make a substantial impact on the market for small and powerful electric trucks, given its attractive design and high-tech features. The truck boasts an echo-resistant and virtually impenetrable external structure, complemented by Tesla’s armored glass designed to withstand substantial impacts. The rear bed spans two meters and includes sloped panels functioning as solar panels, providing approximately 24 kilometers of solar-generated power daily. Additionally, the panels can be raised to create sufficient space for cargo transport.

As for the interior design, the steering wheel diverges from any other current Tesla model on the market, resembling a rectangular shape reminiscent of racing car models. It includes a large 17-inch central touchscreen, similar to other Tesla models. Notably, there seems to be no gearbox, implying that the driver will use the information and entertainment system to switch between park and drive.

The Cybertruck can accommodate six people and features a digital rearview mirror based on a rearview camera. According to the company, the truck is expected to offer a range ranging from 400 to 1,000 kilometers, with towing capacities ranging from 3.4 to 6.8 tons, depending on the motor’s power. The base model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 7.5 seconds, while the quad-motor model can reach 90 km/h in 2.5 seconds.

Tesla will offer four versions of the Cybertruck with different battery packs and drive system configurations. The single-motor version is expected to provide over 480 kilometers of range at a speed of 175 km/h, while the dual-motor version is expected to offer around 480 kilometers of range at 195 km/h. The tri-motor version is anticipated to provide over 800 kilometers of range at a speed of 210 km/h. Additionally, the quad-motor version with all-wheel drive is projected to offer a range of 1,000 kilometers at 240 km/h.

One important consideration is that the design we have seen so far may not be the final production design. Elon Musk confirmed that the truck will come with side mirrors to comply with legal requirements in the United States and several other countries. Furthermore, the company has not disclosed alternative pricing since the initial 2019 announcement, citing increased costs.

Share your thoughts on how this truck will impact the market for other electric trucks.
